la ventana del arte

La obra deElisabeth Bolza es resultado de una búsqueda de valores universales y de una búsqueda de diálogo entre las tradiciones de Oriente y Occidente. Las piezas que presenta en esta exposición, realizadas en collage, dibujo y caligrafía, recuperan la tradición del manuscrito iluminado por su asociación con las nociones de transitoriedad y permanencia. A través de éstas se acerca a los poderes conectivos de las antiguas formas del arte islámico y explora cómo pueden relacionarse con la comunicación contemporánea en la era de las redes sociales.

Between Muharraq and Seville: A Bolza - Bussad Dialogue" was officially inaugurated last night, 20 January, at the Bahrain National Museum, with the presence of H.E. Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of BACA and H.E. Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, the Minister of Foreign Affairs. The exhibition brings together Bahraini artist Ebrahim Bussad and Orientalist artist based in Spain Elisabeth Bolza, who have collaborated to create an artistic dialogue that connects East and West through a series of collage works about the city of Muharraq.
